ABC's...

Hello there everyone! We are working on our ABC's at our house! Lincoln has the alphabet down and has for probably a good year now or maybe longer! He actually sings it all the time! We started working on flash cards the last few days trying to recognize them now! He actually knew more of them than I thought he would! He still gets a few confused, but the ones he does, I see why he does, they do look similar! I thought since he recognizes so many of them that he might start recognizing words too if he saw them, so we did a little project today! He has a pretty photographic memory, remembering things I never thought seeing only once he would, but he does! So here is our letter project we did today...

(May be a little blurry, I took it with my phone!)

We (or I) cut out pictures from magazines and a few from online that start with the letter A! And then I helped him tape them down on the paper and then I wrote the word for him to see all spelled out! He did a great job with it! He's able to recognize the uppercase and the lowercase of most of his letters and that is so exciting! Preschool ...here we come!!! :)

Family Day at the Zoo...

The weather was beautiful on Saturday and the first part of Sunday, so Sunday we spent the morning at the zoo! The weather was so nice! Lincoln loves the zoo, probably one of his favorite places to go besides HOTELS ...those are his absolute favorites! (Told him he better be an athlete or rockstar if thats where he wants to sleep every night!)

Here are a few pictures from our day...

Got to see the elephants today, last two times they were inside or something!

It was a lazy day for the sea lions!

The polar bears were not there again :( Missed them last several times, whats up with that! Those are one of Linc's favorites!

Thumbs up to the Grizzlies ...just wish they would have gotten off the wall a little so I could have gotten a picture of them, too!

Meet Sesi the new baby Giraffe at the zoo! She was so cute!

After the zoo we had lunch at Jason's Deli! Lincoln was a little irritated with all my picture taking! This was him while trying to enjoy his ice cream :)

A busy, busy few months!

I can't believe it was the end of September the last time I posted anything! What have I been doing with my time? Let's see... Lincoln celebrated his 3rd birthday, we went to Texas for over 2 weeks, we celebrated Halloween on that trip, we came home for 36 hours and boarded a flight for a week in San Francisco all the time feeling very nauseous and coming home to find out that our little threesome was now going to be a foursome! Yep, Lincoln is proud to announce ...He's going to be a BIG BROTHER!!!

Let's back up... Lincoln turned 3 on October 18th! We had a great time at Pump-It-Up with all his little buddies, family and friends! He had such a fun time! I can't believe my baby is 3!

Then we headed to Texas for a little over 2 weeks! We really had a great time! We were able to spend lots of time at Ganny & Papa's and even take another trip to Fossil Rim! Which is always a favorite for Lincoln, he loves getting to see and feed all the animals! We also spent lots of time...

DIGGING...

DUMPING...

SWINGING...

And just being a COWBOY!

We also got to go to Grapevine for Halloween to spend the evening with Ethan & Bunny! The kids loved every minute of it! We actually got to go the Halloween Carnival on Friday night and Trick-or-Treated on Saturday!

Carnival Pics (Lincoln decided to be Optimus Prime this night):

Halloween Pics (Lincoln decided tonight he would swap things up and be Buzz Lightyear):

Let's see, where too next ...oh yes, San Francisco! Lincoln was in need of some more frequent flyer miles so we jet setted out of town with Daddy! We had a great week there! Shopping, seeing the sights, eating out and this trip we saw the zoo! The first time we went to San Francisco, I was pregnant with Lincoln! And well this trip, I was pregnant again! :)

We did lots, saw lots and ate lots! Here's our trip...

Lincoln's suite in our hotel room... (stocked with toys, movies and computer ...spoiled)

The San Francisco Zoo...

Road the Trolley...

Dining out...

The Sea Lions (and all their stinkiness):

Alcatraz...

The Carousel on The Wharf...

The Golden Gate Bridge...

The Exploratorium...

And last but not least, Lombard Street...
(our view driving down it)

We had an amazing time and can't wait to go back again, but maybe this time without a bun in the oven!

Which brings me to that news! Yay, we are PREGNANT! The news was a surprise, but a very wonderful one! I was actually quite a bit along when we got the confirmation at the doctors office! I am currently in my 13th week, due in mid-June! I have been so behind on blogging, but hope to be more on top of it now, especially with our news!

Lincoln is quite excited, although we aren't really sure just how much of it he actually understands, but if you ask him he will say there is a baby in my tummy and that he wants a baby sister!

Well, I'm really beat so I'm done for tonight! Check back soon...

Happy Birthday Mama...

My birthday was on September 21st and it was a great one!!! Ash and I enjoyed sushi take-out from one of my favorite places, SPR, and they bought me an iPhone ...YAY! It was probably good that we opted for the night in with take-out ...because I was playing with my new phone all night! :) Nothing like a new toy!

Lincoln was a huge fan of the cupcakes with icing! I think he ate the icing off all four of them! :) He kept wanting us to re-light the candle and sang Happy Birthday, over and over and over...

And did I mention he wore his Halloween costume for my birthday, also! :)

On Wednesday, Jen Kennedy took us to lunch at Happy Mexican to celebrate!! Great friend, great food and great times! We had a blast! Thanks, Jen Ken!

Afterwards we took a little trip to Target to look around! While we were there Jen found a great pair of shoes ...but unfortunately Lincoln took a liking into them also and I thought I was going to have to buy them just to get him to leave the store! It was hilarious watching him walk the shoe aisles with his new "boots" as he kept calling them!

But let me just tell you it was NO FUN when I took them off of him, he lost it in the store and there wasn't one person in the store that DIDN'T here him freaking out!!

He may kill me one day for posting these, but I just had to!

Eid...

Sedo came over to celebrate the Eid with us tonight! For those who are not familiar, the Eid, is the celebration at the end of Ramadan, kind of like Christmas to us. Ash made a great dinner for us and Lincoln got gifts! :) Ha! Sedo really enjoyed getting to spend it with us!
