Horsing Around...

WEDNESDAY
Lincoln had another great day in the country. He loves the horse and spent hours on it again today! He's been saying YeeHaw for awhile now when he jumps on his bed at home, but it was more fitting when he was yelling it on the horse this afternoon! I want to figure out how to get his horse home with us on the plane! ha! He probably wouldn't enjoy it as much if it was at home though. I think there is just something more exciting about it being on the porch here!

He enjoyed the tent some more today as well! He was enjoying the breeze coming in through the tents back door. He could see the dog next door through it too and he loved to tell it "shhhh" when it started barking!

I think his favorite part of today was going to get the mail! He rode to the mailbox in style ...in a wheel-barrow! Talk about a first! Papa rode him around the front yard and Lincoln loved every second of it! He kept saying "Wwweeeeee!" I wonder what our neighbors would say if we did this back at home! You can get away with all the fun things out here!

Country Living...

TUESDAY
Lincoln and I are in Stephenville with Ganny & Papa. We decided to ride back with Ganny yesterday and stay through the weekend. We are with Ganny & Papa until Thursday and then going to see Aunt Crystal, Ethan & Evan for the weekend. The kids are excited to get to Trick-or-treat together again this year!

Lincoln had a busy day. He loves the porch. They put up Evan's old Dora tent for him to play in. That's been a big hit.

Even May-May the cat has been enjoying the tent!

Another one of favorite parts of Ganny's house is the HORSE, the rocking one is his favorite. He first rode the horse back in April. He seemed to enjoy it then, but this trip he has loved it! We spent hours on it today! He got really mad at me when I made him get off of it to come inside for a few hours. Wonder if we can smuggle it home with us! ha!

Not only does he love the rocking horse, he likes the ones behind Ganny's house, too! The one right next door wasn't out much today, but we did get to see the one way off in the distance. Hopefully we will get to see more horses tomorrow!

The weather today has been great. It's been sunny, but cool, with a slight breeze! I hope that the weather stays this nice while we are here this week! It's been fabulous!

We also spent time in the good ole' dirt and rocks! Ganny found an old dump truck in her barn and Lincoln loved filling it with rocks. He loves the rocks on our driveway at home ...but he was in heaven when he saw all the rocks out here!

We are having a great time and will be updating the pictures each day so Daddy and everyone can enjoy and see what we have been up too! We love and miss you, Daddy! love, Mommy & Lincoln

Party Weekend...

We had Lincoln's 2nd birthday party this weekend. It was great! We had it at the Memphis Zoo which was awesome! He loved it and I think all the other kids did too! The weather was PERFECT! They had a huge party room to run around in and chase Poppy, they had the rides right outside which was a huge hit and then what better than a place full of animals! We had a great weekend with friends and family. It was nice to have everyone together! Cindy brought Crystal, Ethan & Evan in from Texas, Ganny came in town last weekend, Poppy came in town on Friday and Janet brought Caroline and Camille up for the day. Ethan, Evan, Caroline and Camille loved getting to spend time with Mahdee, Hadi and Layah for the day. It was just an overall great weekend!

The first of the festivities...

Guess who is TWO? That's right, Lincoln is officially a big boy now! His birthday was Saturday, but we are having his party this coming Saturday at the zoo. This weekend was a bad weekend for several people, so we thought we'd put it off so the whole family could get together! We had a small little "party" for him though on his actual day! Ganny came in town early so that was really exciting and we went ahead and gave Lincoln his present from Ash and I ....a battery operated Toyota FJ Cruiser that he can drive himself! It's awesome ...it's HUGE! Lincoln loves it! He spent hours playing in it while we charged it and was quite shocked this morning when we put the battery in it and he realized that it actually moves! He's still getting used to that idea. Its so much bigger than him that he's still a little cautious ...but I predict by the end of the weekend he will be taking out walkers on the sidewalk who get in his way!

"WOW! Truck, Truck!"

Helping Daddy put his truck together!

My new wheels!

Checking out the radio stations!

First test drive outside!

Now, it's Daddy's turn!

Lincoln was also really excited with his gift from Poppy & Nana that arrived this weekend! Lincoln loves to color and draw, so his new desk was a HUGE HIT! Not just any desk ...a Lightening McQueen desk! Oh wow!

Check out these new moves...

Lincoln loves the Dance channel ...he gets it from his Daddy for sure. They could listen to it all day long! I enjoy it, but not as much as these two! Ash had it on and Lincoln started dancing ...a new move we haven't seen before!! Enjoy!

Fall means PUMPKINS...

Like I mentioned before, I love Fall. One of the reasons is Pumpkins. I love going to the pumpkin patch to pick our favorite one! Although we (Ash & I) never seem to get to actually pick out the pumpkins, its great to see what the kids pick out. Last year, Ethan & Evan picked out our pumpkins and this year Lincoln picked them for us! It's amazing how they always seem to find the absolute perfect ones!

Lincoln had a blast running from one end to the other just amazed at all the pumpkins! He picked out a large one and three small ones! He even decorated the big one for us ...his little masterpiece!

Sweet weekend smiles...

Here are a couple of pictures I took this weekend of Lincoln! He's such a happy kid with the greatest little smile! I can't believe he is going to be 2 years old this weekend. I took a picture of him laying in my lap. I took a picture of him in my lap when he was only a week old and compared the two ...wow, the difference two years makes!

One week old...

Almost 2 years old...

Here are a few other sweet pictures from this weekend!

Fall is in the air...

I think that fall is my favorite season! I love the colors, THE TEMPERATURES, the clothes, etc, etc! It's definitely the best time of year to play outside! Lincoln and I have been going to the park several times a week and playing outside more in the afternoons, for awhile there it was just too miserable to be outside! We bought sidewalk chalk this week and Lincoln loves it ...and Ash loves it too! Ash came home on Wednesday night and Lincoln and I were writing on the sidewalk (and sometimes the neighbors driveway ...sorry Grant & Gigi). I ran inside for several minutes and when I came out Ash had drawn his version of hop-scotch. It was hilarious because anyone who knows him would never think that he knew what hop-scotch was ...I couldn't help but laugh! We all had our turn on it and I must say I was the best, most coordinated! Lincoln really had a great time on it and has gone out to hop on it every day since. In the pictures, I'm the one with NO HEAD. Ash has a hard time with my camera for some reason!

Another great part of being outside is riding bikes. Lincoln loves his Diego bike and rides it constantly through the house, but I know the bigger he gets thats probably not going to be a good idea ...for our poor floors! He rode it up and down the sidewalk and the driveway. He was also fascinated with watching the older boys up the street on their bikes and scooters going back and forth. I know he can't wait to get out there with them.

And Fall brings Halloween. I've always enjoyed Halloween and costumes, but that took on a whole new meaning when Lincoln was born. From being a Sugar Baby his first Halloween and Yoda last year for his second one! This year he is going to be Darth Vadar. I let Ash pick his costume this year, since that's kind of been the pattern, he picked the first one, I picked last year and now its his turn ...since from hear on out Lincoln will probably be doing the picking for us! He looks so cute in his costume, if we can just convince him to wear the hat! He hates that part, but maybe we will get lucky that night! It helped that he was really into the tv when I was taking these pictures.

Big Boy in the Box...

Ash bought a new printer this weekend. I don't think when he bought the printer he realized just how much joy it would bring to Lincoln! Lincoln and I had the greatest time playing in that empty box! I think we played in it well over an hour! It's so amazing how something like that can bring such a big smile to a child's face! I hope these pictures bring a smile to your face! Love, Shanna
