Picayune & New Orleans Trip - July 2008

We went to see Poppy & Nana for The 4th of July weekend. We had a great weekend. We were able to grill out with the neighbors and Alecia's family! On Saturday we spent the day in The French Quarter walking around and having lunch at The Gumbo Shop. Very yummy! It was quite a shock to visit the area since Katrina. The Quarter looked much like before Katrina, but the surrounding areas were still really heartbreaking! Nana and I found a great ornament shop and I added to my great collection! On our way home we went by to see Alecia, Warren & the girls, it was our first time to see their new home!
