Father's Day with Sedo & Daddy...

Father's Day we (Ash, Lincoln, Seema Iymon and I) took Sedo to Red Lobster for dinner. Iymon had to work, so we took him to dinner at his restaurant so he could be part of the celebration. We had a great time and our dinner was great! Iymon had them take really good care of us!

A few weeks ago, Samia, Seema and I were going through all of Sitty's old family photos and came across a picture of Sedo in his 20's laying out by the pool in an itty bitty speedo. YEP! We all about died! I decided that the picture should resurface and what better place ...then on his father's day cake! It was awesome! He was totally shocked and I don't think I've ever seen him laugh so hard! It was priceless! (Don't look too close at the pictures or you will see just that ...Sedo in a speedo)...

I think it's just what he needed, he's had a rough few weeks ...Sitty is gone for a few months overseas visiting and he just lost his oldest sister, so he needed something to lift his spirits! I think we succeeded! He had a great time and his brother (Aamo Abu Sultan) was in town to celebrate with us.

I think that Ash really enjoyed getting to share the day with his Dad!

Salon haircut...

Lincoln got his first salon haircut this weekend! We just joined Lifetime gym and they have a full salon in it, so we got his hair cut there! My friend, Heidi, had given him his first haircuts and the last 6 months or so I have been doing the trimming. His curls had gotten so long. When the girl first brushed out his hair it was a huge fro! I wish we had gotten a picture of that, but neither of us got our camera phones out fast enough, darn it. Here are a few that I did manage to get...

He did really great, sat there still! Of course, he was so tired and hadn't had a nap so by the end he was starting to fall asleep in my lap!

I had to slick it down JUST ONCE for Daddy since he has wanted to do his hair like this from the moment he had hair! So, there it is ...

Party at Keller Pointe...

Ethan & Evan turned 7! Wahoo! Can't believe that its been 7 years since the little squirts were born! They had a great birthday. It was at a place called Keller Pointe, its a fitness facility with an awesome mini water-park ...inside and out! There is so much to do there! The kids had a blast!

Everyone had a blast! The girls were passed out before they even got out of the parking lot!

Safari right in the middle of Texas...

While we were in Stephenville, we went to Fossil Rim which is 20 minutes away from Ganny and Papa's in a town called, Glen Rose. Who knew that in the middle of cow town there was 9 miles of safari animals! It was amazing and I thought a wonderful addition to our birthday celebration for Ethan & Evan! Papa went with us and drove so I could be in charge of documenting as much as possible with the camera. I think I took like 300 pictures in 3 hours. I couldn't help my self! There are so many, so here is another slideshow...

We saw all sorts of animals ...deer, antelope, ostrich, zebras, giraffes, and rhinos. And a few horned animals that I'm not even sure what they were! It was amazing. You just drove down 9 miles of free roaming animals. You could buy 1 bag of food to feed them with and of course we bought the food ...that's the whole fun! You could only feed the giraffes out of your hands everything else had to be thrown the food, but the animals would just walk right up to the cars and sometimes even causing traffic jams because they wouldn't move so we could continue on. Evan and Ethan fed the giraffe threw the sunroof, which was so awesome for them. I fed one and you will see a really close up shot of him because I took a picture just as he was pulling away ...ha! Evan even got to hug the giraffes face. Lincoln liked all the animals, but he was more of the throwing the food kind of kid, he didn't want them touching him, who could blame him, they were pretty big animals. The zebras were super friendly like the giraffes, one even licked Ethan on the head when he put his head in the car window. :) It was amazing!

I definitely think that Fossil Rim is a must if you are in that part of the world for a day, I plan to return as often as we can! I had a blast and I know the kids and Papa did, too!!!

Summer in Stephenville...

We are back in Stephenville this week. Ethan and Evan are out of school for the summer and their birthday is on Thursday. So we came in town to play with them all week and to celebrate their 7th birthday this coming weekend! Boy are they excited! We are having a great time! We are at Ganny's and the kids love coming out here!

Lincoln and I got here on Friday night and Cindy, Crystal, Ethan & Evan came in town Saturday morning. Crystal and Cindy spent the day here and went back late Saturday night. We spent most of the day playing outside! We put up the "first" pool on the porch for a little while, but that one didn't last long, Ash and I bought it for Ethan and Evan when they were Lincoln's age, so I'm surprised it made it that long. The kids enjoyed it though while it lasted and the water guns were lots of fun, too!

Papa put out the slip-n-slide and let them play on that afterwards and they had a blast! Even Aunt Tickle (Crystal) enjoyed her turn down the slide, too! :) Evan also enjoyed playing with Cindy's dog, Princess, too!

Sunday we started the day with a breakfast picnic! I thought it was a fun way to start the day! And they seem to enjoy themselves! :) Although no one seems overly thrilled in the picture! ha!

Our breakfast led to a long, fun filled day! I took the kids to the park to run like crazy people for the first part of the morning. They had a blast! They had so much to do ...slides, swings, a huge basketball pavilion, a rock wall and monkey bars!

After the park we went to McDonald's for lunch and to play some more on the playground there! IN THE AIR CONDITIONING! :) We also went to Walmart so Ethan & Evan could get a special treat. They made straight A's this year, so I thought they deserved a reward! Of course, that trip to Walmart was super exciting for them!

And the last part of our day was swimming again! I got them a new pool at Walmart to replace the first one, they had a blast! Ethan and Evan actually spent several hours in it, but Lincoln wasn't having any part of it!

Lincoln played with the little girl next door instead! He said the water was too cold and "he wasn't getting in ...ok". We have laughed the last two days because he has been adding the word "ok" to everything he says to us! Its so cute! Plus, I think he was pretty tired from our long day on the go.

Today was pretty similar day! Breakfast ....park ...McDonald's (again, I know - but this one was the new one with an even more exciting playground) ...then home to play outside and in the pool. Another fun filled day! Here are the pictures to prove it!

We went to get ice cream today instead of going to Walmart! But the kids played in the pool again today! Lincoln thought about getting in, but they splashed him before he got in and then he said nope! It was hilarious though because he spent the rest of their swim sitting on the porch steps with his gun ....I guess waiting for them to try to get him wet again! I guess this time he thought he would be armed and ready! HA!

We that's what we have been up to since Satuday, there will be more to follow with the rest of our week! That's all for now...

RATED MA: For Mature Audiences ONLY! ha

So, tonight I'm giving Lincoln a bath which is always a fun time. I decided since he was in such a good mood I would try to brush his teeth in the tub...

1. since he was in such a great mood (because he has hated brushing his teeth lately)
2. since he couldn't run from me

Anyway, so I let 'him brush his teeth' first and then I did the true brushing! Afterwards, I said "see, that was painless" and Lincoln's response was "I'm not a penis!" Ahhhh! Can you imagine had I said that in a public place and gotten that response from him! HILARIOUS! Kids are so funny ...and we for sure have one of those kids!

Hope you enjoyed this and laughed as hard as we did! Good night!

Bubbles...

Just some cute pictures...

Ahh, big bubbles

Catching them

Ok, I'm done!

Hot, beautiful day...

The weather was great, the skies were bright blue, so Lincoln and I went to the park again! It was insane busy with kids today. I think I saw three daycare vans! I almost didn't even get out of the car, but Lincoln really want to play so we gave it a shot. Next time I see the vans I will just go straight to the playground and avoid the sprinklers. The bigger kids were way to rowdy for all the little kids that were running around. Which is such a shame! One girl completely knocked Lincoln down, but she was nice and helped him up. One kid ran right into the back of me because he was playing chase and I guess he didn't see me ....and of course I couldn't see him because I wasn't facing him and he ran smack into the back of me. Geez! It's amazing how some parents just sit back and let their kids act this way and don't say a word!

Lincoln had a great time though while we were there so that is all that matters ...and no injuries!!!! He gets just as excited each time he goes, like its his first time!

I managed to take a few cute pictures while we were there...

Ahhh, thought he could make it through before the water came back on ....but it got him! :)

We also went over to the slides for a little while since we were there!

And when we got home he CRASHED! So sweet...

Ah, summer!
